Leasing a car

Car leasing is a great way to get access to a brand new, top of the range car without having to worry too much about having a large deposit or being able to buy a vehicle outright from a dealer.

With car leasing you can pay monthly to hire the vehicle over a set period of time, usually 2 to 3 years. You shouldn't look at it as money lost when you come to lease a vehicle as in many cases you are able to find vehicles that are leased at a price that is similar to depreciation.

By this we mean that if you bought the car out right and used it for a number of years the amount you would lose in depreciation is very close to the amount your would have paid to hire the vehicle in the first place.

So if you are looking to buy a new car you may want to consider leasing. You can get great deals online at websites such as http://www.economyleasinguk.co.uk/

Lighting for the home

Home lighting is one of those things we tend to give very little thought to, but it's also something that can make or break the mood of our living space. Deciding on the best lighting options requires home owners to assess both their practical lighting needs and what look they are trying to create.

Home lighting starts with the fixtures that come already built into the house. Be they track lights, recessed lighting, standard overhead lights, or any other kind, hopefully existing lighting fits the design scheme or can be modified with little effort. If a home owner is happy he can move on to table lamps and other supplemental lighting.

With the large selection of lights and lighting systems now on the market it's possible for most people to get just the right options. If choices are made wisely, your lighting can be the crown jewel of your home.

Liberal Democrats

Don't be fooled by all this election hype in the UK. They are all as bad as each other the politicians and I none of them can make a difference.

I think the nation should vote for Nick Clegg.

Forget policies for the moment - as policies are not going to change in the next 3-4 years. You can't turn the juggernaut like the UK around quickly - the things that are in motion will need to be finished.

I don't think we can trust Cameron and Brown is just not liked so lets vote for Clegg - who before the TV debates people said he didn't have a chance - so lets show UK politics that we don't care and vote Nick Clegg.

Shredding important document is really important if you don't want to have your identity stolen. There are actually people who will go through your rubbish to find important documents and use them to acquire loans or paperwork for fraudulent purposes.

So it's important that you get yourself a shredder and destroy all of your important documents. Shredders are all slightly different, believe it or not, and come in all types of price range and quality. The main brands are Rexel Shredders, Swordfish Shredders and Fellowes Shredders.

You don't just want a standard one either you need a diamond cut shredder as it makes sure your documents are cut into small peices.

My niece has developed a real love for Sylvanian Families Furniture and as a result I've been trawing the web looking for suitable suppliers where I can get a good deal. As I nearly died when I saw how expensite they all are.

Specificially we're looking at the Sylvanian Families House and the best place for it I found was Toys Direct

They have the full range of products at great prices.

The range includes all of the themed playsets, caravans and furniture. It's a real must if you're looking for these products.

Martin Lewis - The Money Diet

Just started reading this book and it seems to be filled with lots of useful advice on debt and saving and how to manage your money. This guys profile is pretty high, but following his advice and guidance really could help you if you were in financial trouble.

He has really found a niche in the market for advice as most of us need help with our money as we're quite happy letting things tick over and only start to think about managing our money better when things seem to start and spiral out of control.

Obviously its best to preempt any such problems and start to think about how you can change you attitudes to money and your behaviour when it comes to spending.

Mortgages and house prices

Well the housing market seems to be picking up with house prices steadily rising. I'm looking for a place at the moment, but it's really not the time for first time buyers as the banks want huge deposits and the prices for property are still high.

Some lenders want as much as 25%... which if the average house price is £150,000 then you're looking at the neck end of £37,500. So if you haven't got a property to sell you're going to have to look at doing some serious saving.

It would take forever to save this type of deposit, so the whole situation is pretty ridiculous at the moment. I support we'll just have to wait for the banks to stabalise and these lenders to to have more confidence to invest in home buyers.

Going backpacking can be a mind blowing experience, but you have to make sure you have taken all precautions before going on such an extensive trip. Different providers will offer different levels of cover for varying fees. And using a quote comparison site makes searching for your backpacking insurance much easier.

If you’re going right into the wild, be sure your cover includes rescue and repatriation cover, so any rescue service costs will be covered by your insurance.

Your travel insurance will seem to cover absolutely everything, but the thing you need to concern yourself with most is what kind of medical coverage it provides while you travel.

Your travel insurance can include cover for special activities and sports such as scuba diving, skiing or snowboarding cover. Be sure to make your provider aware of any an all activities you plan to engage on during your trip, and when you receive your travel insurance documents, check the wording thoroughly to ensue you are covered exactly the way you need to be. The last thing you need when you require urgent assistance on your holiday is incorrect information. Given the situation, it could lead to no end of hassle, and ruin your holiday.

Your provider will have a number of products, offering different amount of cover. So if you prefer living life a little on the wild side, or prefer to travel safely with all precautions and safety measures in place, there will be a service provider with the right kind of insurance for your backpacking experience.
